【摘要】:Thisguideisintendedforusebythoseundertakingthedevelopmentoffire-risk-assessmentstandards.Suchstandardsareexpectedtobeusefultomanufacturers,architects,specificationwriters,andauthoritieshavingjurisdiction.Asaguide,thisdocumentprovidesinformationonanapproachtothedevelopmentofafire-risk-assessmentstandard;fixedproceduresarenotestablished.Limitationsofdata,availabletestsandmodels,andscientificknowledgecanconstitutesignificantconstraintsonthefire-risk-assessmentprocedureandassociatedstandard.Whilethefocusofthisguideisondevelopingfire-risk-assessmentstandardsforproducts,thegeneralconceptspresentedalsocanbeappliedtoprocesses,activities,occupancies,andbuildings.1.1Thisguidecoversthedevelopmentoffire-risk-assessmentstandards.1.2Thisguideisdirectedtowarddevelopmentofstandardsthatwillprovideproceduresforassessingfirerisksharmfultopeople,property,ortheenvironment.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4Thisfirestandardcannotbeusedtoprovidequantitativemeasures.
